Lisa Allison BlohmPainting in Acrylic, Oil, Pastel and Watercolor
5516 Sunset Ave, Anacortes (Studio 15) I am Lisa Allison Blohm, a Pacific Northwest native and a wildlife/nature artist/painter. Living here in the PNW provides me daily, unlimited inspiration! I especially love to paint those species that need a voice, are at risk, under valued or have a unique story to tell about their lives. I admit to favoring marine mammals and birds, but enjoy painting other local flora and fauna as well. I strive to paint these species in a captivating and interesting manner so that they capture your attention and perhaps tell a story as well. I paint in acrylic, oils, watercolor and pastel. |

Jon SchmidtSculpture and photography
3740 Birch Way, Anacortes (Studio 16) I have been involved with art in one form or another all my life. I can’t describe how much the love of art has helped me to be a better person and share my accomplishments with others. My love for stone began many years ago in the form of jewelry making. I cut and polished stone and made many wonderful pieces that I treasure to this day. My sculpture career began as a whim by taking a class at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle. I studied there for several years until moving from Everett to Anacortes in 2016. Since completing my studio in 2019 I have had a highly focused path to create stone sculpture that is varied and beautiful. |

maria WickwireCeramic Sculpture
17109 W Big Lake Blvd, Mount Vernon (Studio 6) In my work, the process is most important. Rather than beginning with a concept in mind, I play with the clay and watch as the sculpture takes shape in my hands, intuitively responding to her and even being guided by her. As each sculpture emerges, I feel as if I am simply a conduit that allows her to step forth to tell her story. Viewers often have differing interpretations of my work, but that simply adds patina to the pieces. I create from a deep place inside and only hope my work will touch others deeply as well. |
